For those who attended Sacred Heart College there is a very good reason to return there years later - the Chapel. The Sacred Heart College Chapel is a beautiful building and occupies a grand position in the College grounds, where it has stood for over 140 years. With a front row view over Newtown, it's not surprising that the Chapel is a popular wedding ceremony venue for Sacred Heart alumni.
The Chapel is available for weddings to be celebrated in the tradition of the Catholic faith. Any former student who attended Sacred Heart College may be married in the Chapel. It is a requirement that the celebrant who administers the wedding vows and signs the marriage certificate is a Catholic Priest who has the authorisation of the Archbishop of Melbourne to do so.
