On Sunday 21 April we held our Foundation Day, a very special day on which we annually celebrate our Mercy connection, by acknowledging our past and embracing our future. The sun was shining as we welcomed many visitors, including a number of Sisters of Mercy, five of whom are celebrating their Jubilee year in 2024.
The special day began at noon with a reflective Mass, officiated by Father Fr Joseph Panackal. Following Mass patrons were able to enjoy a variety of entertainment, from High Tea in Celie’s Dining Room to listening to live music from the talented Piano Bar performers under the shade of our big, beautiful trees. Students enjoyed carnival rides on the Junior Oval, and judging by the squeals of laughter they were most certainly a hit. Hunger was more than satiated by the variety of delicious food trucks on offer, with many tastes and cuisines catered for.
It was wonderful to see the College abuzz with much laughter, joy and excitement, and we are truly thankful to all those hard workers who helped organise such a fabulous event.
