This week, we farewelled our Year 12 cohort, who finished their education journey at Sacred Heart College Geelong. It has been a fun and, at times, emotional few days for them as they reflected on their time and looked excitedly to their future outside the walls of Sacred Heart.
Activities included a fun Colour Run, a hard-fought game of Dodgeball against some brave staff members, and a dress-up day, during which the Year 12s displayed some imaginative costumes. The Year 12s certainly showed their playful and imaginative side and thoroughly enjoyed themselves and their time together.
Their final day consisted of an Alumni breakfast, as the students were officially welcomed into one of Australia's largest female alumni associations. Then, it was onto the Transfer of Leadership assembly, which featured a video that fittingly encapsulated the class of 2024's journey from Year 7 students to the mature young women they are today. After the assembly, we, as a school community, formed a Guard of Honour for the Year 12s, who left through the Retreat Road gates as a student cohort for the last time. We hope they know these gates will always be open to welcome them and that they keep their connection to Sacred Heart alive for many years to come.
We wish the best of luck to our Year 12 students who will be undergoing exams in the following weeks. Farewell, Class of 2024 – we will miss you!
